Set in a raw, industrial space which was an actual construction site, the installation was designed to reflect Purmo’s role in the building industry while creating a contrast between the unfinished surroundings and the refined details of the exhibition. The result was a space that balanced atmosphere and functionality, inviting both reflection and conversation around indoor climate and architectural integration. The design draws on an industrial logic of display and organisation, referencing familiar systems of visibility and accessibility while translating them into a more curated, architectural context. Products are presented as part of a cohesive spatial language rather than as standalone elements, allowing technical solutions to be understood in relation to materiality, scale, and application. The space operates both as a daily workplace and as an evolving platform for dialogue with architects — a setting that supports exploration, conversation, and a more integrated approach to indoor climate in architecture. As I lost several close family members within a short period of time in 2021, I experienced firsthand the significant lack of facilities and services available to individuals affected by grief. This led to a thorough examination of our existing grief support system in Denmark, followed by the design of a new grief center in Copenhagen - with a new strategy for how we approach grief in the future. The grief center is located at Prøvestenen and primarily caters to young people aged 16-30. The project itself is a new building on the harbour of the small city Klint, containing a locally driven bakery. The bakery can transform into a community space, hosting gatherings, concerts and other events. Gunboatshed no. 3 is a protected building, built around 1820 on Holmen to store gunboats. My specific site was the most northern two ships in the shed, the other three are currently occupied by rowing clubs. Since beginning the project, my plan was to change as little about the shed as possible, since it is a protected building. The unique location by the water and the colours that characterize the building is what intrigued me initially. I decided to work with sour beer as a craft and the brewer Ehren Schmidt as my maker. Brewing beer, especially sour beer, is not only a craft, it is a lot of science as well and very specific conditons are needed.
